Victoria and I agreed we'd get off the ship early in the morning and walk around the port. We did not get off the ship in 2006 while we were in the port. After breakfast at Topsiders, we wandered off the ship around 9am. It was already very hot.
Victoria decided she wanted to do some shopping in port. She haggles with a lot more ease than I do. We wandered around the port and down a few streets. I bought my nephew a shirt, parents some magnets, and vanilla for everyone at work. Victoria bought little trinkets, but she did not find the purse she was hoping for.
Diamonds International, the store which appears in most Carribean ports, gave Victoria a charm bracelet. "Hey Lady!" was the phrase of the day in this port. Nearly every shop featured rope bracelets with your name woven into them. After a few hours and a few pictures, we went back to the ship. We knocked on Darlene's door and interrupted her nap. Ooops!
Victoria and Sandy splashed around in the pool. It was so hot on deck. I got another iced coffee and some treats from the case and just hung around, watching Disney movies. One of the days featured an ice carver. It was mildly entertaining, watching a guy use a chain saw to carve a block of ice.
